Biography
Emma was named after the sailing ship that she was born abord. The Emma Colvin arrived in Nelson, New Zealand on 23 June 1856. Death certificate states married at 24 years old in Wellington. It also lists her immigrant parents as William Jordan and Harriet Burton. Obituary states her occupation as a nurse and 8 living children at the time of her death.
