Research Notes

Disputed Parents / Origins: Anderson reports Francis Jordan's origins are unknown. Parents recently added, John Jorden and Elysabeth Unknown, from Claybrooke, Leicestershire, England are unsourced, and have been detached from his profile.

[Note: There is no known connection of Steven Jordan who died at Newbury in 1669/70 and Francis Jordan. Steven's spouse was Susanna, and he only names his wife and two daughters Ann Cross and Jane Andrews, while Francis Jordan of Ipswich was living at this time see: [3]

[NOTE: There are no known sources that indicate James b. 1636 at Ipswich and Francis b. 1637 were sons of Francis and Jane. Ipswich records do not show these births. His wife Jane's probate record only mentions the daughters noted on this profile. ]

See note on bio: No evidence of a relationship of Steven and Francis Jordan. Steven Jordan should be removed as Francis' father.

There is no evidence in birth/death records or probate records that this couple has sons named James and Francis, or a third daughter Mary. James and Francis should be removed. Daughter Mary born in 1647 should be merged with Mary b and d in 1639. Any comments of objections?
