Jeremiah Joseph of Sussex County, Delaware was probably born circa 1720. He died in early 1783. He was the son of Joseph Joseph, a native of Scotland who settled in Sussex County, Delaware before the Revolutionary War. Jeremiah owned land in Sussex County before 30 December 1748.
His estate papers name eleven children. Ester, Elisha, Joseph, Jonathan, William, Lavinia, Nathan, Hezekiah, Zachariah, Elizabeth, and Jeremiah.
