Joseph was born in 1841

Note: "1851 Census vs. 1861 Census" Joseph misspelled as Josephte in the 1851 Census, who is age 14 = b.1838, since his sister Marie Josephte is age 4 in the 1861 Census. (Note the 1851 Census has Josephte as a female age 14, which does not square with a male Joseph age 20 in 1861. Marie Josephte age 4 in 1861 is a different person. the Joseph Joseph found in the 1860 census with Susan Joseph who is connected to Cynthia Joseph in FindA Grave, was born in Michigan as is 22 in 1860. It's doubtful he and a sister went to Michigan in 1860 and then he was back in Quebec for the Census in 1961 at age 20. Census are known for poor age notations, but the US then Canada trip seems doubtful. No Susan who is 18 in 1860 is listed in this family in 1851.(Bourque-573 04:49, 7 May 2019 (UTC))

(Note this link goes to Magdelaine Josephe, wife of Thomas Laporte, all children are Laporte. None name Joseph Joseph. BUT Thomas Joseph born in 1833 had grandparents noted of Michel Laport and Magdeleine ... Josephe.
