Biography

Effa was born in 1873. She passed away in 1960.[1]

The 1880 census shows Effa Jostlin {sic} (8) in household of Lewis Jostlin {sic} (33) in Pioneer, Rush, Kansas.[2]

The 1885 census shows Effie Josselyn in household of I L Josselyn in Melrose, Jackson, Monroe, Iowa.[3]

Effa Mae Josselyn Married Samuel Burton Ogg on 24 May 1894. Her parents, J.L. and Lou Stanley attended with Sam's parents, Anson {sic} L. Ogg and Mary McCoy. [4]

The 1900 US Census shows Effa living in Indianola, Iowa with Samuel and 3 children: Howard, Doris, and Gladys. [5]

Birth of child Samuel Burton Ogg Jr. on 20 June 1906. Father listed as Samuel Bennet Ogg. [6]

The 1920 US Census shows Effa living with Samuel and 5 children in Verdigris, Oklahoma. [7]

By 1930, Sam and Effa had divorced. She is living in Kansas City, Missouri with sons Burton and Glenn. Sam died in 1933 in Los Angeles. In 1937, she was listed in the Little Rock City Directory as widower of Sam Ogg. At some point after 1940, Effa went to live with her daughter Gladys in Corpus Christi. [8] [9][10]
