Biography

Henry was born in 1697. Henry Joslin of Scituate married Hannah Oldham in Pembroke on 23 September 1718.[1] They had at least ten children.[2] He passed away in 1787.

Probate

The will of Henry Josselyn of Pembroke, gentleman was dated 17 January 1783 with a codicil dated 10 November 1784 and proved on 26 June 1787. He mentions his wife Hannah, and his children, Henry Josselyn, Joseph Josselyn, Charles Josselyn, Isaac Josselyn, Mary Munroe, wife of Shubael Munro, Margaret Ford, wife of Seth Ford, Lucy Ford, wife of Isaac Ford, and the children of Hannah Munro, late wife of Henry Munro (Josselyn Munro, Henry Munro, Benjamin Monro, George William Monro, Mary Bearce, and Hannah Stetson), and his brother Joseph Josselyn. He appointed Ichabod Bonney of Pembroke to be his executor and then changed it to David Oldham of Pembroke, who refused the trust. Josiah Smith was appointed the administration.[3][4]

His inventory was taken on 4 July 1787 in Pembroke. His estate was represented as insolvent.[5]

In 1788, a list of claims and creditors was recorded.[6]

In 1789, an account of his estate by Josiah Smith was recorded which included funeral charges, taxes, and administration fees. [7]

In 1794, an account of his estate was recorded which included debts paid, taxes, and administration fees. [8]
