I should have added another comment in regards to Lindsey's parentage which here it lists as unknown...

Please refer to :

"A historical sketch of the town of Hanover, Mass., with family genealogies" by John S Barry Published Boston 1853

Starting on page 335 it gets into the Josselyn surname. On page 337 it lists down to Jabez Josselyn marrying Mary Lindsey. Then it lists their children with the youngest being Lindsey 1749.

My relationship to Lindsey Josselyn is by his daughter (by wife Susan Welsh) that was named Sarah. Sarah/Sally (Josselyn) married Abel Hawkins and their third child and third son was Julius Jay Hawkins, one of my 3rd great grandfathers.

Also note that Lindsey Josselyn was a Revolutionary patriot.

The offspring "NOTE" is in correct.

The quote on p. 287 of "The History of Poultney, VT: from Its Settlement to 1875" is that the children of Lindsey & Susan (Welsh) Josselyn are:

Jabez, Abi, Sarah, Lindsey, Alvin, & Susan.

There is no Samuel. By Lindsey's second wife (listed as the widow of Daniel Richards) (It's Huldah [Fellows] [Richards] Joslin in he had two more children: Joseph & Lucy.

The only reference to Samuel is his parents' children which lists: (Samuel, Jabez, Lindsey, Sarah, and Joseph) when they all moved to Sheffield, Berkshire Co, Mass -- when Lindsey was only 5 years old.

So Again, Samuel is NOT a son of Lindsey & Susan (Welsh) Josselyn. Samuel is a son of Jabez & Mary (Lindsey) Josselyn -- Lindsey Josselyn's brother -- not son.

Lindsey is 20 degrees from Tanya Lowry, 14 degrees from Charles Tiffany and 16 degrees from Henry VIII of England on our single family tree. Login to find your connection.
