Jean Christopher Joudrey was born circa 1707 in Allondans, Doubs, Principauté de Montbéliard, Saint-Empire Romain Germanique. He was the son of Jean Joudrey and Susanne Maigret.

Marriage

Jean married twice:
1. [Weuillemin-1|Anne (Weuillemin) Joudrey]] (~1712-1753), a daughter of Pierre and Anne Rose (Charpoit) Veuillemin in Montbeliard. Their known children:

  1. George Joudrey (1735-1753), died as a young man
  2. Maria (Joudrey) Patriquin (born 1737)
  3. Pierre (1739-1753), died as a young man
  4. Frederick Jeaudry (1743-1812)
  5. Jean Jeaudry (1748-1822)
  6. Jean Jacques (died young).

Jean, Anne Catherine and their young family immigrated to Nova Scotia with his family aboard the Speedwell in 1752.

2. After his first wife died, he married Jeanne (1715-1788), a daughter of Pierre and Judith (Perretgentil) Racine and the widow of Josué Robar on Aug 14 1753 St. John's Anglican, Lunenburg. Their children included:

  1. Catherine Elizabeth (born in 1753)
  2. Elizabeth (born in 1756).

Death

Jean passed away July 23 1777 Northwest Range, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada.
