Biography

Oliva Jovino, daughter of Filippo Jovino and Maria di Palermo, marries Giovanni Catalinotto, son of Calogero Catalinotto and Giovanna Paternostro, on 16 February 1874.[1]

Oliva's sister, Biagia, marries Michaelangelo Gennaro in 1885. He is the boss of the Mafia in Corleone from 1920 until his death, four years later.

Giovanni and Oliva have at least three children: Giovanna (c. 1878) and Maria (c. 1889), and Maria Antonina (c. 1890).

Maria marries Giuseppe di Giglia on 24 April 1909.[2]

Giovanni dies at age 63 in Manhattan on 6 January 1912.[3]

Giovanna marries Calogero Maiuri, also from Corleone, on 22 December 1923 in Manhattan. It is the first marriage for them both.[4]

Maria Antonina, age 34 (b. 1890), marries Antonino Nicolosi on 30 November 1924 in Manhattan.[5]
