Biography
Samuel Joy was born on 25 March 1781 in Berwick, Maine. His parents were Samuel Joy and Lydia (Hamilton) Joy[1].
He married Frances Joy on 23 October 1806 in Berwick. They relocated to Limington, Maine, in 1808. They had four children[2]:
- 1. Charles, born 20 Apr 1807; married Rachel Manson Foss
- 2. John, born 24 Apr 1809; married Julia Ann Foss
- 3. Woodbury, born 27 Jul 1812; died 1836
- 4. Sabary, born 21 Mar 1815; died 1835
Samuel passed away on 9 December 1834 in Limington[3].
