Dallas was born in 1844. He is the son of John Joyce and Willmina van Bunschoten. Twin of Polk Joyce. He served in Company D, 6th N. Y. Artillary. He married Emily Monks and lived in Brooklyn. They had nine children, six of whom died in infancy.
