Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Jeremiah Joyner is a part of US Black heritage.

Jeremiah Joyner was born about 1833 in North Carolina, USA.[1]

In 1865, he worked for Ed. R. Allen, in Heathsville, Northumberland, Virginia, for about six months.[2]

Jeremiah M. and Henrietta Beale Everett of North Carolina[3] married, most likely, in North Carolina.[citation needed]

In 1870, he lived with his wife, daughters, and possibly his sister in Portsmouth, Jefferson Ward, Norfolk County, Virginia.[4]

In 1876, when his surviving daughter was seven years old, their family moved to Providence, Rhode Island. It was reported that he was an African Methodist Episcopal Minister.[5]

He was gone before the 1880 census.[6]
