Biography

Corporal Juarez was a small-arms repairman and technician who joined the Marines in March, 2007. He was assigned to the First Battalion, Third Marine Regiment, Third Marine Division in November 2007 and had previously deployed with the 1st Battalion in Iraq. This unit was part of Operation Enduring Freedom in the Nawa District, a major opium poppy producing area in the heart of the Taliban insurgency. He died when a roadside bomb blast hit his vehicle.
