William was born about 1715, being baptised on 30 Dec 1715 at Thaxted, Essex, England, the son of William and Margaret Judd. [1]
He was apprenticed for seven years to John Carter, joiner from 12 Oct 1731 at a cost of £22. His father was said to be William Judd of Hatfield Broad Oak, Essex, farmer. [2]
He married at Shoreditch, London on 9th July 1741, [3] by faculty office licence issued 8 Jul 1741 Elizabeth Marriott. [4]
He passed away in 1784, leaving a will, the probate of which was proved 7 Dec 1784. [5]

Proved by the oaths of the sons of the deceased, William Joseph and Thomas Judd 7th Dec 1784.
