Biography

Francis, son of Hugh Judd and Frances Squire was baptised March 10 1828.

Francis was a Cabinet Maker and moved to London, first living with his widowed Uncle, William Judd, also a Cabinet Maker.

Francis was 24 when he married on Christmas Day 1852 to Ann Maria Omerod age 23, a Seamstress. Ann was the daughter of George Omerod, a Cordwainer. The marriage took place at St Leonard, Shoreditch witnessed by Mary Omerod. They settled at Bethnal Green.

Ann passed away between 1854 and 1861 leaving Francis with his son also named Francis born in 1853. Francis moved with his son to live with William Judd.

Francis remarried on 21 April 1862 to a widow, Mary (Terrell) Morris at St Peters, Bethnal Green witnessed by William Lazzell and W Grisford. They stayed in Bethnal Green and lived at 16 Royston Street.

Four children were born to Francis and Mary, William 1864, Albert Henry 1865, Eliza 1869, Robert 1872 and Mary Ann.

By 1891 the family are still in Royston Street and have moved to No 54.

Francis Judd died in 1903 aged about 75.
