Charles Dimond, mariner, and Elizabeth Judge, spinster, both of this parish, were married by licence at the church of St Augustine the Less, Bristol on 27 Oct 1795.[1][2]
Charles was a cook on board the merchant ship 'King David'.
On 4 Feb 1802, while the ship lay in Nevis Roads, Charles Dimond was drowned by the overturning of a canoe. John Shilston, master of the 'King David' provided a certificate to the Society of Merchant Venturers on 26 Mar 1803, to Charles' widow Elizabeth and their two children to access financial assistance from the Seamen's Hospital Fund.[3]
