Helen or Ellen Judge was born at Rolvenden, Kent, England on the 15th of March, 1830.[1] She was the daughter of Jesse Judge and Hannah Watson.
When Helen was eight years old the family migrated to Australia in 1838 as assisted immigrants via the ship Maitland.[1] Her siblings on board were Jesse, Reuben, David, Ellen, Hannah, and 2 year old Eli who died at sea.[2]
Research Notes
Ancestry trees show Helen marrying twice - first to William Cooper in Sydney, 1847, then Alfred Goodwin in 1852. If this is accurate, she died at Wickham in 1919.[3]
