Marie was baptized on 20 October 1608 at La Haye-Descartes (St-Georges), in Touraine (present-day Indre-et-Loire).[1][2] She married Jacques Habert (abt.1600-) before 1635 in France since their first child Françoise was baptized on 14 February 1635. Their marriage record was not found in the registers of La Haye- Descartes.[3]
They had 3 known children, all born in France:[2]
Their son Jacques emigrated to Canada, Nouvelle-France some time before 19 April 1668 since on that date he was married at Notre-Dame church in Quebec.
"A worthy article that appeared in our periodical (Memoires, vol. VI, p. 393) thought it possible to establish--at least it claimed--that the Hébert brothers were the sons of Jacques Hebert and Marie Juneau of La Haye-Descartes in Touraine.
Here then in brief is its argument: an immigrant named Jacques Hébert, son of Jacques and Marie Juneau, from La Haye in Touraine, parish of Balesne, made a contract at Québec ... to marry Francoise Chevalier. This contract was witnessed by Louis Hébert's daughter Marie-Guillemette Hebert.
Now, before settling at Québec this same Louis Hébert stayed for a while at Port-Royal, where the two Acadia Hébert brothers would live thirty years later.
Thus the immigrant Jacques Hébert in Québec was the brother of the Acadian Héberts.
One must confess that the connection between these premises is tenuous. and even more tenuous than one might think.
The immigrant Jacques Hébert was not an Hébert at all, but an Habert, as a correct reading of his marriage contract proves. And if Guillemette Hébert, widow of Guillaume Couillard, appeared on this occasion, it was because the intended bride was her servant. The Acadian Héberts with their different family name have nothing in common with Jacques Habert." [4]
Removed 20 Jan 1650 in Acadie, Nouvelle-France as date and location of death. There is no document to support this claim and no proof that she went to Acadie.
(Left page, above last entry) If the baptism on 20 October 1608 at La Haye-Touraine was really her, she was the daughter of Bastien Justeau and Jehane - Partial transcription (modernized spelling):
- Le vingtième jour dudit mois [octobre] fut baptisée Marie Justiau fille de Bastien Justiau et Jehane... son parrain François ... sa marraine Marie...

I suggest merging these two and keeping the notes about the confusion with the Hébert brothers is a section of the profile, as has been done with her husband.
