Laverne E. Langenbacher, 89, Pacific, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008, in Pacific.

Mrs. Langenbacher was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Catawissa, the daughter of Edward Junge and wife Elizabeth, nee Eime.

She received her education from Catawissa Grade School and Pacific High School.

On May 21, 1949, she was united in marriage to Spencer Langenbacher in Catawissa.

Mrs. Langenbacher was a member of the Pacific Presbyterian Church, Women's Association, Quilters Club and the Panorama Club in Pacific.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Elmer Junge.

Mrs. Langenbacher is survived by her husband; one son, William Langenbacher and wife Donna, Union; one daughter, Sherry Richards and husband Larry, Ballwin; one sister, LuElla Buscher, Pacific; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral serves were held Wednesday, June 18, at Pacific Presbyterian Church, Pacific, with the Rev. Mark Strothmann officiating.

Interment was in the Pacific City Cemetery.

Memorials to the American Heart Association or the Pacific Presbyterian Church are preferred.

The family was served by Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific.
