Biography

William Jupp was born in 1859. [1]

He was christened William Theodore Jupp on 13 Apr 1859 at St Mary's, Lewisham, England. His father was Edward Basil Jupp and his mother was Eliza Margaret.[2]

In the 1881 Census, he was living at 33 Manor Park, Lee, Kent with his mother, Elizabeth M. Jupp, widow, age 62, born in Middlesex and his sister, Sarah C., daughter, age 35, unmarried, born Greenwich. His occupation was given as Oxford Undergraduate [3]

Rev. William Theodore Jupp of Christ Church, Oxford, was ordained as a deacon on 20 May 1883. [4]

He was ordained as a priest on 8 June 1884. [5]

He married Gertrude Mary Kempthorne in 1886.[6]

On 25 February 1893, he took over the incumbency at St. Columba, Southwick [7]

In 1901 he was living in the St. Columba vicarage in the parish of Southwick in Durham with his wife and mother-in-law. [8]

He remained at the Vicarage, St. Columba, Sunderland until his death.

He passed away in Mar 1917.[9]
