Biography

James was born in Slaugham, Sussex and was baptised there on 30 March 1845.[1] He is the son of Thomas Jupp and Lucy Collins.

James was living with his parents in Slaugham in 1861.[2]

James married Sarah Lee in Slaugham on 17 May 1868.[3]

In 1871 he was living with his wife Sarah and their children in Slaugham and working as a broom maker.[4]

In 1881 James was living in Ifield, Sussex and working as an agricultural labourer.[5]

James cannot be located in the 1891 Census. He turns up again in 1901, living alone with his son Thomas.[6]

It's not clear when and where James died.
