Biography

Lavina was born in 1874 in Bundarra, a small town and her birth was registered in Armadale NSW which is 77kms from Bundarra. She married on 5th January 1897 Arthur William Bridge in the Church of St. Thomas at Cessnock which is approximately 13kms from Millfield where the marriage was registered. She passed away in 1950.

It was probably registered in Armidale but in fact the actual birth was at Bundarra. Thay is where all the family lived. A lot of them buried there too. Their family place was called Orrabah which is just out of Bundarra.. Could have even been born at home there as others were. Have heaps more info on this mob if you are interested. I have over 15000 Jurd family names in my research. How are you connected

Check your dates. Lavina cannot be born 1874 and married in 1879. She married in 1897. She was born at Bundarra NSW not Armidale. She was married at Church of St. Thomas at Cessnock.

Thank you Nanette. I changed the marriage date. I double checked the birth and marriage place and as the registered places are the ones that are recorded I left them as I had them. I will put a note in the Bio regarding the actual birth and marriage places.

Jurd-256 and Jurd-317 appear to represent the same person because: Lavinia Ada Jurd and Lavina Ada Jurd appear to be the same person, because event dates and spouse are the same.
