The 1860 census shows Bodil Kirstines father Jens Jørgensen 1820 living on a farm in Hårbølle, Denmark with his 15 years older wife Ane Jakobsdatter 1805 and 3 stepchildren - Maren Kirstine Hansen 1831, Hans Hansen 1833 og Christian Hansen 1835 og his daughter Bodil Kirstine 1847. The stepchildren aged 25, 27 and 29 in 1860 and husfader Christian Jørgensen is 40!

Census 1850 states another child Niels Hansen possible twin (Christian Hansen) and states that the family lives on 1/2 a farm. (1/2 gård).
