Peter Kaiser was born in 1867, in Grimm, Russia, the first child of Christian "Christ" Kaiser and his wife Anna Elisabetha Schmidt. He had four documented siblings:

According to the 1904 Grimm Lutheran Church Registry of Births and Baptisms, his wife's maiden name was Pinnecker. [1] The couple were the godparents of nephew Alexander Kaiser.
