Mary Kane was born in Nebraska.

Mary Winifred Kane was born on July 5, 1878 in Humphrey, Platte County, Nebraska, daughter of John Kane (1856–1915) and Cecilia O'Boyle (1856–1950).

Mary (19) married Francis Patrick Leahy (31) (born on October 28, 1863 in Douro Township, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada; son of Michael Leahy and Bridget Torpey) on September 28, 1895 in Wisner, Cuming Co, Nebraska. Their known children were:

In 1920, Mary W (43) Leahy was in the household of Frank Leahy in Winner, Tripp, South Dakota. [1]

Mary passed away on May 22, 1969 in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, aged 92. She was buried in Saint Josephs Catholic Church Cemetery, Wisner, Cuming County, Nebraska.[2]
