Friedrich first married widow Paulina Radtke (nee Prochnow) on 25 Jan 1848 in Kirchhayn. They had 5 children together. After her death in 1865, he married Ernestine Martin sometime in about 1866 in Wisconsin (most likely Kirchhayn). They also had 5 children.
Friedrich died on 19 Jan 1906 in Washington County, Wisconsin.
