Biography
When Dean was born on February 20, 1913, in Arkansas, her father, Charles, was 44, and her mother, Alta, was 39. She married Lloyd Harvey Shanks on March 24, 1935. They had three children during their marriage. She died on May 1, 2002, in West Fork, Arkansas, at the age of 89.
