Biography

Ignatius (also seen on records as "Ignatz" and "Ignacy") was born in the village of Palimšiai. Although his grave stone says he was born February 1870, his baptism record confirms a birthdate of 2-Apr-1871 and a baptism date of 5-Apr-1871[1]. He and his wife Agatha immigrated to the United States in the first decade of the 20th century. They settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts and raised four children who were born there. The family lived for a brief time in Mendon[2] before returning to Cambridge.
