I am a hybrid of nationalities and I have some characteristics of a Third Culture Kid in that I was born in the USA and raised in Jordan. I did live in the States until 1974, in case anyone wondered. Growing up in Jordan has shaped who I am today in the sense that I have developed appreciation of life in Jordan and attended a private American school with students from practically all over the world, i.e., Jordan (the host country), Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Kuwait, Oman, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Balkans, Zambia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. I learned how to work with them. I was the kid who hung out with the international students.

Hello Tanya

We appreciate your interest in the Magna Carta Project and would be happy to have you join us as a member. There are two membership levels that I want to give you more information on so you can decide which of the two meets your interest and level of participation. These two membership levels have different requirements so please review the following project pages for more information. Once you have decided which membership meets your interest level contact me and we will get you started/ Keep in mind that that in order to become a "badged" member requires the selection of an unassigned Gateway Ancestor from the list of Douglas Richardson documented Magna Carta Gateway Ancestors prior to badging. If you have any questions about this or any other aspect of Magna Carta Project membership feel free to contact me.

Magna Carta Project Membership Requirements (information about badged and affiliate membership levels)

Magna Carta Gateway Ancestors (make selection from ancestors that are not marked with a "b" or "g")

Best regards

Hi, Amy.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I'm still working on my third course, titled AGS: Beyond the Basics, and I'm researching the Plante family, particularly Amie Plante, for a family friend. :)

Yours truly,

On this day, in 1878 or 1879, my Scottish great-grandmother, Margaret Maxwell Parker (nee Laird), was born.  :)

Hi Tanya;

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group.

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details.

The Teams are :-

1 Categories Team
2 Counties Team
3 Managed Profiles Team
4 Membership Team
5 Profile Improvement Team
6 Topics Team
7 Diaspora

Can you let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) you’d like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.

Many thanks,

Amy Gilpin Ireland Project Coordinator

Hi yes it is but there were two clans. I can't recall how to spell the original but one clan is "the people of the swamp" and the other "servants of the ancient god" the servant clan was apparently rich in druids. However, both clans were once one. I read years ago that all Mullaney's and any variation of the name are related.
Hi Tanya, it could be that the branch of the family line has gone extinct. Or, in some cases, like mine, even some of the sources are incomplete. I was just studying the book "Maxwell History and Geneology", and noticed that not all of the lines of Margaret (Maxwell) McCullough were listed. Her husband was my grandfathers' grandfather, and I grew up hearing about him. But he is only briefly mentioned a few times, and his son Irwin isn't mentioned at all. Just be patient, and don't give up.

Hi Tanya,

Yes, according to both Ancestry.com & Geni.com I have several Douglas' in my tree through marriage to members of the Maxwell Clan. However I was reading through a genealogy of the Maxwells from about 100 years ago, and according to it, that line became extinct about 10 generations ago. So I am slowly piecing together a lineage that can be verified by other online sources. But who knows, it may come to pass that we are distant cousins. I am looking forward to finding out if it is true. Brian

It looks as though I'm not a direct descendant of John Carver.

Hi, WikiTreers,

I just read an article in the Washington Post about Family Tree Now and it says to be careful what information we post on genealogy sites, such as Family Tree. I don't use that site at all but I thought I should give you all a heads up.
