Erana was born in Cook County, Illinois on December 23, 1902 to Herman Kaske and Helen Klotz. However, from two documents we recently discovered, it appears she had been born as "Irene Louise M. Kaske"
On April 18, 1910, the US Census has "Erana; 7" (born in IL) living with her parents ("Herman; 37"; surname incorrectly spelled as "Kaski", and "Helen; 34") along with her siblings ("Caroline; 15" and "Herbert; 14") at "1625 So. Avers Ave." in Ward "34" of "Chicago", "Cook" County, IL; E.D. "1479".
Erana passed away on May 20, 1990 at San Gorgonio Pass Memorial Hospital from respiratory arrest due to increasing congestive heart failure. She had been living with her daughter Eleanor and son-in-law John since August 6th, 1986 (first in Santa Ana, CA, then later in Banning, CA).
Erana was buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaumont, California; Tract 8, Section 204, Grave 4 on May 23, 1990.
