Biography

Christian Kauffman, son of Isaac (d.c.1738) and Elizabeth Kauffman, was born c.1728. He married Barbara Baer (1729-1801, daughter of Henry Baer of East Hempfield). ^[1] They were the parents of :

Christian was deeded 142 acres of Isaac's original tract, but does it and moved to a larger tract east of Washington Boro, where he was buried after his death on 11 Mar 1799. ^[1]

Research Notes

An earlier version of the profile identified Christian's mother as Elizabeth Brubaker b.1695 Thun, Bern, Switzerland, but provided no sources.
