Obituary
Samuel L. Kauffman, 77, beloved husband, father and papa, of 425 S. Walnut St., Belleville, died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at his home.
Born May 19, 1928, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Samuel F. and Katie (Zook) Kauffman. His wife, Mary (Yoder) Kauffman, whom he married Nov. 4, 1950, survives.
Also surviving are his children, Vernon Kauffman and wife Sharon, of Leola, Arlene Kauffman and husband Timothy, of Lewistown, Verda Shirk and husband Dale, of Terre Hill, Samuel K. Kauffman and wife Wendy, of Belleville, Regina Cabezas and husband Roberto, of Lancaster; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sisters, Turie Alwine and husband Clarence; and Katie Sharp, both of Belleville.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Samuel Kauffman and siblings, Lizzie Mae Zook, John Zook Kuaffman, Effie C. Peachey, Kore E. Kauffman and Jesse J. Kauffman.
He was a dairy farmer, retiring in 1976 and worked at A.J. Peachey in the Meat Department for 20 years and Kauffman Farm Supply for 10 years.
He was a member of Allensville Mennonite Church, Allensville where he had served as an Elder for 14 years, Superintendent of Winter Bible School, served as Superintendent of the Sunday School and was a teacher and a member of the Big Valley Men’s Chorus.
His funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Allensville Mennonite Church, Allensville. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville, with the Pastors Rod Lehman and Eli Beachy officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville, PA 17004.[2]
