• John Kaye of Woodsome & Slaithwaite, Yorkshire, England, Esq. was born circa 1528 (age 15 in 1543).

• He married Dorothy Mauleverer, daughter of Robert Mauleverer, Esq. and Alice Markenfield, on 21 January 1543 at Bardsey, Yorkshire, England;^[1]

• They had 9 sons Robert, Esq; Arthur; Richard; Edward, Gent; Francis, a cleric; George; Matthew; John; & Thomas) and 4 daughters (Jane, wife of Brian Thornhill, Esq; Dorothy, wife of Thomas Blythe; Anne, wife of Richard Markes; & Beatrice). John Kaye, Esq. made a will on 10 December 1591.He was buried on 28 July 1594 at Almondbury, Yorkshire, England. His estate was probated on 3 October 1594 at York, Yorkshire, England.
