Biography

Julia Kearney was born in Ireland.

Julia Kearney died young.

Julia Kearney was born on 12 April 1890 in Kilbaha, Listowel, Co. Kerry. She is the daughter and sixth child of Patrick Kearney (a farmer) and Margaret Buckley. ^[1][2][3] At the time of her birth she had four older sisters and one older brother. Another brother was born almost a year from Julia's birth (on 9 April 1891).^[4]

Sadly, Julia's life was cut short when she died at the family home on 26 Aug 1893 at the age of just 3 years from "chin cough" (nowadays known as whooping cough). ^[5][6] She had suffered from the illness for three weeks before her death. Her father registered her death four days later. Seven more children were born in the family after Julia's death.
