In the 1900 US census John keating, b.1860 Ireland, a day labourer, was living at 128 Front Street, New London, Connecticut, as head of household with his wife Julia. He had immgrated in 1888 and been married for 1 year.^[1]

In 1905 John Keating of 109 Connecticut Avenue, New London, Connecticut, was the relative named by his sister Margaret Keating as her destination in the USA.^[2]
