Biography
Cynthia Rutledge Keaton was born in March 1857 in South Carolina, the daughter of Louisa and Benjamin. She was the wife of Wiley Mitchell; they had at least six children:
- Minerva Mitchell (1874–1892)
- Robert Wright Mitchell (1875–1939)
- John Martin Mitchell (1877–1949)[1]
- Edward Mitchell (1882–1935)
- Wiley Burt Mitchell (1883–1953)
- Herman Casper Mitchell (1886–19290)
She died on June 4, 1924, in Anderson, South Carolina, at the age of 67, and was buried in Anderson, South Carolina.[2]
