Biography

Anna Sophia Keen was born on March 31, 1904,^[1] to Cornelius Keen and Caroline (Johnson) Keen of rural Waseca County, Minnesota.^[2]

It appears that she was either baptized on May 12, 1904, and confirmed on May 12, 1918, or she was both baptized and confirmed on May 12, 1918, in the Le Sueur River Congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Richland Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.^[2]

On June 7, 1905, when the Minnesota State Census was taken, Anna was one year old and living with her mother and eight siblings on the family farm in New Richland Township.^[3]

In 1910, Anna was six years old and living with her parents and eight siblings on the family farm in New Richland Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.^[4]

In 1920, Anna was 15 years old and living with her parents and siblings on the family farm in New Richland Township.^[5]

In 1930, Anna was 26 years old and a servant in the home of Eugene Stilwell of Minneapolis, Minnesota.^[6]

Sometime between the 1930 census and the 1940 census, Anna married Carl Rudolph Krahn (1910-2003).

In 1940, Anna (36) and Carl (29) lived in a house they owned at 5520 39th Street South, Minneapolis, Minnesota.^[7]

Anna passed away on January 22, 1993, in Hennepin County, Minnesota.^[1]
