Charles Keen was born on February 26, 1851 in New Norfolk, Colony of Tasmania, son of Joseph Keen (1819–1892) and Anne Burrows (1828–1915). When Charles was born his father, Joseph was a storekeeper in Falls, New Norfolk[1][2].
Charles (22) married Elizabeth Foster (23) (born in 1850 in Waldridge Fell, Durham, England) in 1874 in Melbourne Victoria, Australia.[3] Their children were:
Charles died on December 4, 1880 in Station Place, Sandridge, Colony of Victoria, aged 29[4]. Charles was buried in Melbourne General Cemetery, Carlton North, Melbourne City, Victoria[5].
