James was born in 1834 in Ardee, Co. Louth. He is the son of Thomas Keenan and Bridget Moonan. He was baptised on 18 Dec 1834 at Ardee, Co. Louth. [1]
He moved to Dublin and married Jane Murphy at St Catherine's church on 12th June 1865.[2] [3] They had four known children.
James' occupation at his marriage was a labourer.
James died on 28th March 1884 from bronchitis which he had suffered for several years.[4] He is listed as deceased in 1895 on the marriage record of his daughter Mary Jane.
There is probably not much more information that could be found about the life of James, unless employment records in Dublin could be sourced.
The burial location for James Keenan is unknown and could be researched.
