Benjamin Eustace Mahlon Keene, the son of Benjamin Gaither Keene and Susan Tubman McMullen, was born at Mount Pleasant, Golden Hill, Dorchester County MD 1 November 1846. He died in Cambridge, Dorchester County MD 14 July 1920. [1]

MAHLON KEENE DEAD. Cambridge, Md., July 15. Mahlon Keene died here yesterday after a long illness. He was born near Golden Hill, and was a son of Colonel B. G, Keene, a large landowner. He finished his education at Loyola College, and spent a part of his life in Baltimore, returning here several years ago. His Wife, who was Miss Stewart, and a son, (Herbert Keene, proprietor of the Whitehouse lunch room), survive. The funeral will be held Friday morning from St. Mary's Catholic Church.
