DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Lydia by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lydia:
Josiah Keene also had a son Josiah who married Rebecca Rose. They had a daughter Lydia as well. But she was born 1720 & married Deacon Peter West. So I can't find any connection between this Lydia Jernigan and the Keene's of Massachussetts, so I have detached her from that line.
I believe that Lydia should be detached from this family. Lydia Partridge is already listed & belongs, but Lydia Jernigan is more likely a granddaughter or great granddaughter if she belongs in this line at all. Josiah & Lydia Baker lived & died in Massachussetts, not North Carolina.
