Biography

Diana was born about 1825. She was the daughter of Stewart Kees and Barshebe Taylor.

Diana married Isaac Prosser. They had a large family.

They were in Rome, Oneida county, New York in 1850,[1] then in Ava, Oneida county, New York in 1855 and 1860.[2][3]

Isaac passed away in 1862. She married Jeremiah Parmitier after the civil war. They had one daughter. In 1870, Diana was on the Ava, Oneida, New York census with children Johnson and Harvey Prosser and Eliza Parmitier.[4] Jeremiah was not on that census so he may have passed away or they may have divorced. Diane, Harvey, and Eliza were on the 1880 Ava census.[5] Diana was listed as married but Jeremiah did not appear on that census.

She was living alone in Ava in 1900.[6] She listed her parents as born in England; also that she was the mother of nine children with six living. In 1910, she was living with her daughter Ida Eliza (Parmitier) Rahn in Whitestown in Oneida county.[7] She listed herself as the mother of ten children with four living on that census.

She passed away in 1915 and was buried in Grandview cemetery in Whitesboro, Oneida, New York.[8]
