Jesse Keesee and his brothers frequently bought, sold and traded land among themselves. In 1778 Jesse bought 100 acres from George for 30 pounds. In 1781, Jesse and Millie jointly with George and Aggie, sold to John Keesee 500 acres for 30,000 pounds of tobacco (W & D Book 4, page 522 and W & D Book 6, page 527). Jesse also made dowery grants to his daughters: 100 acres to Lewis Dalton and Polly Deesee Dalton; 100 acres to Thomas Green and Amy Keesee Greene; 100 acres to Solomon Pickeral and Sally Keesee Pickeral (W & D Book 8,). The dowery gifts were made in 1807 and 1817.
The 1782 census shows the Jesse Keezee family consisting of 2 adults, 5 children, 1 dwelling and 2 other buildings.
1820 Pittsylvania Co., VA census, shows 1 m over 45; 2 f over 45; 1 m 18/26; 1 f 16/26; 7 male slaves and 4 female slaves.
At Jesse Keesee's death his estate consisted of 1624 acres which sold for $1170.00. Booker keesee bought 542 acres for $206.80 (W & D Book 31, page 259). Other buyers were Emily Anthony, James Irby, George Camp, Jeremiah Anderson, Lewis Dalton, John Parker.
