From a German newspaper obituary, translated to English:

Georg Peter Keil

One of the earliest settlers in this region, Mr Georg Peter Keil died at 1:30 on Sunday afternoon on his farm in Holland Grove, Tazewell County, at the age of 77. He was born on November 8, 1819 in Streidbach bei Jetzbach, in the region of Erdbach, Hesse Darmstadt. He came to America in 1835 with his parents, who settled on the other side of the river in Tazewell County. At that time, Peoria was a very small place, and the farmers in the German settlement had to sell their produce in Wesley City or transport it to Chicago. Peter Keil was married for 55 years and leaves behind a wife and seven children. The burial took place on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the German evangelical church in Hollands Grove.

I read the obituary of Peter Georg Keil and looked for the birth place named in the obit. The name of the place doesn't exist anymore, but the creek that obv gave the place its name is still there. Its well can be found at the GPS-coordinates 49.659615 N and 8.883141 E. On the area named by the creek, there was (according to books from the 1800s found on google books) a house where the forest ranger of the area lived. Maybe that can give you a new hint in your research.
