I've been working on a tree on Ancestry.com for a few years now. I've hit many brick walls and would love to find ways forward with those. Also looking forward to getting the scoop on all of the historical bits, since I apparently come from colonial stock in every line of my family except for two, where the immigrants didn't arrive until the 19th century. Most importantly, I've been unable to locate adequate documentation and proof for certain ancestors in my tree that don't seem supported, but are then sort of generally accepted as verified. I really, really need help with these particular projects, so I am hoping to beef up my tree here and fill it in with only accurately verified, collaboratively agreed-upon relatives. Maybe some of the mysteries will clear up through collaboration.
Be sure and add the "Virginia" tag under your "Followed" tags :)
We have two google groups - one for discussion (https://groups.google.com/g/wtvirginiadiscuss) and one for managed profiles (https://groups.google.com/g/wtvirginia). Send a join request if you'd like to join either or both (INCLUDE YOUR WIKITREE ID SO WE KNOW IT IS YOU.)
When you get a chance, please add your info on the Virginia Team page:(https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Virginia_Team). If you haven't already looked it over, Virginia Project (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Virginia) is the main project page and has lots more information.
Let me know if you have any questions.
