Biography

Charles Vernon Keller was born on 4 Jul 1888 in Waveland, Brown Township, Montgomery, Indiana, United States, son of Sylvester Keller (1864 - 1952) and Lillie Theadocia (Dowden) Keller (1870 - 1946).

His siblings were:

Charles died on 8 Sep 1938 in Manteno, Kankakee, Illinois aged 50.


Charles was born in 1888. He was the son of Sylvester Keller. He passed away in 1938.

In 1900, Charles (13, farm laborer, attending school), was living in Ripley, Indiana, with his parents Sylvestor (36, day laborer) [1] and Lilly (30). His brothers and sisters: Lottie (14, attending school), Blanche (10, attending school), Earl (6), and Alonzo (1), were also living in their parents house. The Keller family owned their home.

On 12 Nov 1908, Charles V Keller (born 04 Jul 1887) and Uma Bowman (born 1885) filled out a Marriage Registration[2] in Fountain, Indiana, United States. His parents were S.C. Keller and Lillian Dowden. Her parents were Henry Bowman and Martha Wilkinson.

In 1910, Charley (21) was living in Jackson, Indiana with his [3] wife (Uma) and their newborn son Carrol.

On Jun 5, 1917, Charles registered in Kankakee, for the World War 1 [4] draft. At that time, he was working as a brick maker, for Illinois Brick Company in Grant Park. He was medium height with a medium build, had brown hair and brown eyes.

In 1920, Charles (31, laborer, Stone Road), was living in Yellowhead, with his wife, Uma (34) [5] and their three children: Carol (9, attending school), Esther (7, attending school), and Herman (5, attending school). The Keller's owned their home.

In 1930, Charles (40, laborer) lived on North Street in Manteno with his wife, Uma (44), [6] and their children, Carol (19, farm laborer), Esther (17, servant for a private family) and Herman (16, attending school). The Keller's owned their home, and it was valued at $1,000.

Charles Vernon Keller died on 8 Sep 1938 in Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana, USA.[7][8]
