Biography
Edward Robert Kellett was born on 26 July 1913 in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand as the first son of Samuel Kellett and Eleanor Templeton.[1] He was only two when his dad Samuel Kellett died[2] .
On 30 May 1931 he may have driven a car that knocked down a person killing them. On 3 July 1931 He was charged In the Magistrate's court with having negligently driven a car on 30th may thereby causing the death of Raymond Bennett Smith. Edward pleaded not guilty, was committed to the Supreme court for trial and bail was refused. [3].
He married Emily Grace Bond on 25 September 1939 in New Zealand.[4]
By 1944 Edward was a Solider and Labourer when he was charged and convicted for attempted rape. On 22 February 1944 at Tawa Flat, Wellington it was charged that Edward committed Rape with it appearing in the magistrate's court by March 1[5]. On 12 May 12944 Edward was sentenced to 4 years hard Labour as he had been previously convicted of a similar offence and the present offence seemed to indicate some sadistic streak in his character[6].
In 1977 he married Rita Mary Franklin who died in August 1978.[7]
In 1982 he was residence in 37 McGrath Street, Napier as that is recorded as his address in cemetery records. He died on 20 September 1982.[8] He was buried on 24 September 1982 in Wharerangi Cemetery, Napier, New Zealand.[9][10]

They married in 1939. Emily died at age 61 in 1976. In 1942 he lived at 58 Carlyle St in Napier and was listed as a shepherd. In 1969 he was living with Emily at16 Harding’s Rd, Napier and job listed as Launchman. My mother remembers Buster (David) kellett Bubby ( George) Kellett As being his children.... help Me anyone?
