It is possible that Anna and Leslie didn't marry. The marriage license was announced in The San Francisco Call on 7 Sep 1910,  when Leslie was serving aboard the U. S. S. South Dakota. Anna was 17 at the time. No record of the actual marriage has been found, and Anna married another man in 1912.
Leslie gave his marital status as "married" in 1917 on his WWI draft registration (made while he was incarcerated), but stated that he had no parents, wife, children under 12, or siblings under 12 who were dependent on him.
