Joseph Mann is the son of Mark Mann & his wife, Caroline Elliott. After the death of Mark Mann, Caroline Elliott Mann married Benjamin H. Kelley and they had 5 children: Daniel Jason and Harriett both died young; the others were Elizabeth Jane Kelley Lattin, Benjamin H. Kelley Jr., and Caroline Eliza Kelley Sutton.
Joseph Mark Mann died in the civil war 28 Aug 1862 in Gainsville VA in the 2nd Battle of Bull Run. He was buried in McPherson Cemetery in Raymond, Racine Co. WI. Buried in this cemetery are his mother, Caroline, and her two young children, and his grandfather, Joseph Elliott.
