Biography

George Washington Kelley, fifth son of James Kelley and Susannah Brooks, his wife, was born Nov 9, 1828 and died Nov 20, 1907 at Seminole (near Luray), South Carolina. He was married three times: first to Susannah (Susan) Kitchens, daughter of John Kitchens (1794-1862) and wife Susannah Jones (1799-?), April 12, 1849, in Warren County; secondly to Sarah Jane Hooks, daughter of Hopewell Hooks (1806-1863) and wife Sarah Fagan Harrison (1813-1889); thirdly to the widow Mary E. Kelley nee Delozier (a native of St. Louis, Missouri). in Alachua County, Florida. [1]
